Cirque du Soleil is bringing the show Luzia to Vancouver in 2026.

Billed as a waking dream of Mexico, the production premiered in 2016 and is headed out on its 10th anniversary tour next year.

Incorporating a storyline that involves both light and rain, the lavish production imagines a journey through arid deserts, old movie sets and more.

The performance also features hoop diving on motorized treadmills, a routine in tribute to the migration of the monarch butterfly from Southern Canada to central Mexico, trapeze and group acrobatics, clowns and more. All told, there are 19 different scenes and acts in the performance.
