Dick Van Dyke thinks it would be humorous to die just shy of turning 100.

While discussing his upcoming triple-digit birthday, the actor reportedly joked during an event over the weekend, “That’s right. I’m not officially 100 until Dec. [13]. Two months. Two months.”

According to People , he added, “It’d be funny if I didn’t make it.”

Van Dyke was joined by his wife, Arlene Silver, at the Vandy High Tea event in Malibu, Calif., which raised funds to benefit the Van Dyke Endowment of the Arts and the Dick Van Dyke Museum, currently in development.

The “Dick Van Dyke Show” star went on to reflect on the milestone of making it to 100, admitting that he doesn’t know what he did to achieve it.
