A public health alert has been issued for two Hello Fresh ready-made meals because they may be contaminated.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service issued the alert for meals produced by FreshRealm that include an ingredient that is regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration - spinach.

FreshRealm had alerted the FSIS that the spinach had tested positive for listeria monocytogenes. The FSIS said it “expects additional affected products to be identified.”

The meals - which were shipped directly to consumers - included in the public health alert are:

Hello Fresh ready-made meals, cheesy pulled pork pepper pasta, 10.1 ounces, with the establishment number Est. 47718 and lot code 49107 or establishment number Est. 2937 and lot code 48840.
