A spectacular fire festival is set to light up Edinburgh this Halloween , transforming Calton Hill into a glowing stage of myth, music and movement. The dramatic celebration, rooted in ancient Celtic tradition, marks the turning of the seasons from summer to winter and welcomes the dark months ahead with fire, drumming and immersive performance. ‌

Hosted by the Beltane Fire Society , the Samhuinn Fire Festival reimagines the Celtic New Year , celebrating the age-old ritual of transition between light and dark. This year’s event takes place on Friday, October 31, from 6.30pm to 11pm, with tickets available only through the official box office, Citizen Ticket . ‌
