Out of favour cricketer Prithvi Shaw sent a strong reminder to the national selectors with a blistering 181-run knock for Maharashtra against his former team, Mumbai, in a three-day practice match at the MCA Stadium in Pune ahead of the 2025–26 Ranji Trophy season. Shaw’s explosive innings came off just 140 balls and included a massive 305-run opening partnership with Arshin Kulkarni.

However, the match took an ugly turn following Shaw’s dismissal.
