Late-night talk show host Jon Stewart mocked Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) over his attempt to make light of the government shutdown .

Stewart hosted Comedy Central’s The Daily Show on Monday and poked fun at Schumer’s press conference on Friday after the Senate failed for a fourth time to fund the government, which has been shut down for almost a week. By the time Stewart’s episode aired, the Senate held a fifth vote that failed to reopen the government.
