Vikassheel Insaan Party chief Mukesh Sahni’s “I’ll be deputy CM" remark has caught the attention of the BJP, which took a swipe at the Mahagathbandhan ally over seat-sharing “troubles" with the RJD.

Explaining the seat-sharing formula with the RJD for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, Sahni told News18 : “I will be deputy CM, it is clear. I wanted 60 seats but now I am ready for slightly above 50% of those seats."

The BJP took this as an opportunity to attack the opposition INDIA bloc, known as the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar, saying “commotion continues unabated" in the alliance.

“The commotion in the LATH’bandhan continues unabated! Therefore, the people of Bihar know — for Bihar’s development, distance from the Mahathagbandhan is essential," the Bihar BJP wrote on X.
