CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Scott and Adele Webb lucked out flying out of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport Tuesday morning.

Airports in other major cities like Newark, Washington D.C., and Chicago reported staffing shortages as we creep further into a government shutdown.

“I travel every week for my work. Next week is D.C. The week after that is Orlando. The week after that is San Diego, so I am just hoping this gets settled,” said Adele Webb.

For the past week, federal workers including Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and air traffic control employees have been working with no pay.

“They are heroes. They have families. They have bills like everybody else, and they are still coming in,” said Adele Webb.
