BARBOURVILLE — The 77th annual Daniel Boone Festival is officially underway, beginning Sunday afternoon with one of the event’s most anticipated traditions — the annual Baby Pageant held inside the Knox Middle School Gym.

This year’s festival, themed “Echoes of the Wilderness,” runs from October 5-11 and promises a week filled with family fun, live entertainment, local food and community spirit.
