Ontario Premier Doug Ford, speaking immediately before Prime Minister Mark Carney's meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday, said while Carney should try to get a deal, if he can't, Canada should hit the U.S. back 'hard' if needed. Ford, who had previously imposed and withdrawn a surcharge on Ontario's electricity exports to the U.S., was also asked about his own plans in the face of U.S tariffs.
