A train operator has unveiled discount rail fares linking Glasgow and London.
Lumo has announced the first tickets for its brand new 'sustainable and affordable' service. From December, they will offer advance tickets from Glasgow Queen Street for £33.90.
Passengers travelling to Newcastle will also be able to purchase tickets from £10.90. Lumo says that the service, which will stop at Falkirk High Station, will use 100% electric trains to 'boost connectivity for Scotland’s passengers'.
To celebrate the news, Lumo has teamed up with Glasgow broadcaster Bev Lyons to launch a special social media competition on the annual National Customer Service Week. Prizes include a luxury hotel stay in Newcastle and an exclusive train driver simulator experience.
