PATRICK Mahomes and Travis Kelce have opened up on the Kansas City Chiefs failure to make history last season.

The Chiefs were beaten by the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl LIX to miss out on a stunning threepeat.

No NFL team has ever won three Lombardi's in consecutive seasons.

And the Chiefs fell short despite an impressive 15-2 record in the regular campaign.

Mahomes, 30, and Kelce, 36, joined ESPN's Monday Night Countdown for a special taping earlier this week.

They teamed up with coach Andy Reid and Travis' older brother Jason for the show.

"The expectations every single year, year in and year out, is Super Bowl or failure," Travis admitted.
