SRINAGAR : Militants opened fire on a team of the Jammu Kashmir Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) in Rajouri district of Jammu Kashmir on Tuesday evening, officials said, as per Daily Excelsior. Follow Us On G -N e w s | Whatsapp

The incident occurred around 7:20 pm in the Koteranka area, where locals reported hearing the sound of 10-15 gunshots. According to police sources, the SOG team was carrying out a search operation in the locality when the assailants opened fire.

However, no injuries or casualties have been reported so far.

Following the attack, security forces quickly cordoned off the area and launched a comprehensive search to locate the attackers. The identity of the perpetrators remains unknown, and no arrests have been made yet.
