Hanover Police say they have arrested a number of armed suspects from around Grey Bruce in a takedown.

Police say at about 2 Sunday morning (Oct 5th) officers responded to a report of prowlers at a residence on 14th

Avenue.

Police say a number of males were in the backyard armed with weapons but did not gain entry inside the home and fled just before police arrived.

They say officers located a suspect vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle failed to stop so police boxed it in with cruisers and arrested the suspects at gunpoint during what police describe as “a high-risk take down.”

They say a search of the vehicle revealed two fully loaded sawed off shot guns, a loaded full-length shotgun and a folding .22 calibre ‘Life card’ single shot pistol that was unloaded. Police
