That’s the recipe that has earned a quirky festival in one of Upstate New York’s most charming cities a spot on a list of America’s top Halloween celebrations.

The Days of Incandescence, a three-day festival in Corning that invites visitors to travel back to the 1880s, has been dubbed one of the best Halloween events in the U.S. by Time Out , an international travel website.

The event in culturally-rich Corning made the 12-event list alongside the Thriller Parade in Lexington, Kentucky, and the Night of 1,000 Jack-o’-Lanters in Chicago, Illinois.
