CLEVELAND — Members of the Cleveland State University community gathered Tuesday afternoon for a silent rally following recent changes to the university’s long-running radio station, WCSB.
The event took place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the quad between Rhodes Tower and the Student Center. According to a post from WCSB’s Instagram account, the gathering was held "to mourn the loss of WCSB as a student organization and to bring students, student orgs, alums, and members of the WCSB community together.”
The rally followed the university’s Oct. 3 announcement of a new partnership between Cleveland State University and Ideastream Public Media , which transitions WCSB to a 24/7 jazz format under the name JazzNEO. Ideastream now oversees programming for the station, which broadcasts
