ALLEN PARK -- It’s been less than 24 hours since Dan Campbell said Terrion Arnold would miss “ a long time ” with a shoulder injury. But it’s already been a roller-coaster ride with the cornerback’s status.

NFL Network reported earlier on Tuesday that Arnold would likely miss the rest of the season. Campbell said he didn’t know if Arnold would be able to return. But the Lions coach made it sound serious on Monday, then the report from the league-owned network seemed to confirm the team’s worst fears.

Now, ESPN reports the Lions got good news via a second opinion on Arnold’s shoulder. The injury is said not to be as serious as initially feared. Arnold is now expected to return this season, potentially as early as this month .
