Plans have been revealed for a new 250,000 sq ft events arena as part of a £1bn skyscraper development on the Liverpool waterfront. Ambitious proposals have been tabled for a landmark development of towering buildings and mixed-use facilities on the outskirts of Liverpool city centre.
The King Edward Triangle project could result in nearly 3,000 homes and 400 hotel rooms being built on land known as the King Edward Triangle, near The Strand. Several businesses currently operate within the triangle, but Peel - which previously owned the land as part of its Liverpool Waters project - sold it to KEIE Limited last April, after Liverpool City Council agreed to a £1.5m deal to lift a covenant on the Gibraltar Row site and enable the construction of skyscrapers.
