Stirling Council has announced that Brian Roberts has been appointed as its new Chief Executive. ‌

Brian, who has been serving as Interim Chief Executive, will take on the role following over 30 years of experience at Stirling Council, bringing an exceptional depth of knowledge and dedication to the council and to Stirling. ‌

He was appointed following a selection process overseen by a cross-party panel of councillors and will take up the post with immediate effect. ‌

Brian joined the council as a trainee engineer in 1993, progressing his career through the Roads and Transport service. He became Roads Improvement Manager and then Senior Manager for Infrastructure in 2014, taking on wider responsibility for other services, including Sustainability, Planning & Buildin
