The Madison City Commission approved an agreement with a new audit firm for the completion of the 2024 audit and financial report during its regular meeting on Oct. 6.
The new firm is Williams & Co., with City Administrator Jameson Berreth explaining the city's hope to get back on track with timely audit reports moving forward. The first-year cost of the agreement will be about $60,000. Berreth said this is a sizable jump from their agreement with their previous firm, Schoenfish & Co., yet this increase comes with the promise of a speedier timeline. ×
