ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WIS) - A man facing gun charges after a pair of shootings at South Carolina State University over the weekend is now out on bond.

Records show 18-year-old Matthew Daniel McCoy, of Blythewood, was released on an $87,000 bond. McCoy is charged with pointing and presenting a firearm at a person and carrying a weapon on school property.

According to arrest warrants released by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, McCoy had a loaded Glock handgun in his vehicle parked on the SCSU campus on Saturday.

After seeing a fight between two groups, McCoy allegedly grabbed the gun from his vehicle and shot twice towards an unidentified male wearing a black and red hoodie.
