HOUSTON (KIAH) — A mother accused of shooting her four children, and killing two of them, is in jail on a $14 million bond.
The Brazoria County Sheriff's Office said Oninda Romelus shot the children inside her car on Saturday. Investigators say she called 911 from a gas station on FM 521 near Angleton.
Investigators said a 13-year-old boy and 3-year-old girl died from their injuries. An 8-year-old boy and 9-year-old girl were airlifted to the hospital and are stable.
According to court documents, Romelus told investigators, her children were dead, and with the devil.
Investigators also searched a home in Porter in Montgomery County, where Romelus lives.
She is charged with two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
