STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) --- A 19-year-old man is accused of decapitating his stepfather with a hacksaw in their Staten Island home on Monday, according to police and sources.

Damien Hurstel was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the 45-year-old man's death, police said Tuesday.

The suspect is currently in the hospital after suffering a medical episode, police said.

The victim was found in a bathtub with multiple stab wounds to his head and neck in the home on Cary Avenue in West Brighton at around 4:30 p.m., according to sources.

Sources said a 16-year-old girl made the gruesome discovery and called 911.

The motive remained unclear. The victim has not been identified.
