The Calgary Flames have just one day remaining before beginning their 2025-26 regular season.

The Flames will soon head to Edmonton to face the Oilers in their season opener on Wednesday night.

Despite the season having yet to get underway, the Flames are already a banged-up bunch, with Jonathan Huberdeau and Martin Pospisil beginning on the injured reserve. As a result of their injuries, Matvei Gridin has stuck with the team out of training camp, while Sam Honzek was recalled from the Calgary Wranglers on Monday.

Before heading out to Edmonton, the Flames practiced at Winsport on Tuesday morning. Based on line combinations at Tuesday’s practice as revealed by Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960, here’s what fans should expect to see versus the Oilers.
