RALEIGH — As one of his final acts in office, N.C. Rep. Jarrod Lowery (R-Dist. 47) helped to secure funding for a Regional Emergency Response Center to be built at UNC Pembroke.
“I’m proud to share that we secured an additional $5 million — bringing the total state investment to $9.5 million — to build a brand new Regional Emergency Response Center at UNC Pembroke,” Lowery said in a Facebook post. “This facility will strengthen emergency preparedness and disaster response across southeastern North Carolina, ensuring our communities are safer and more resilient when storms strike. Thank you to my colleagues in the NC General Assembly for working together to make this critical project a reality for UNC Pembroke, Robeson County, and all of Eastern North Carolina.”
