DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers are back at Comerica Park.

They play Game 3 of the American League Division Series against the Seattle Mariners at 4:08 p.m.

The series is tied, 1-1.

Kerry Carpenter will be in the leadoff spot for the Tigers.

“He gets circled no matter where I put him,” said Tigers manager A.J. Hinch. “I’ve put him first, second, third, I think fourth. And inevitably, every manager on the other side circles him as a point of emphasis.

“So putting him at the top makes that decision pretty early in the game when it comes to a third time against (Mariners starter Logan) Gilbert.

Catcher Jake Rogers; infielders Trey Sweeney and Andy Ibáñez; outfielders Jahmai Jones and Wenceel Perez will be available off the bench. The full lineup is below.
