UTICA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV)-- Both the prosecution and the three defense lawyers for the Marcy Prison Trial have made their opening statements to the jury.

Prosecution:

The first to take the podium and convey their statements to the jury was William Fitzpatrick, the prosecution in this case.

He explained to the jury that these men need to be found guilty, and here's why, Fitzpatrick says, "they killed him, remember that word they!! “Robert Brooks met the welcoming committee, and within an hour, he was dead, bags weren't even unpacked..... at 9:07, he arrives at Marcy, a half hour later, he is dead.”
