CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Most people are familiar with the pink ribbon for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but experts say there are a few things that are often overlooked when it comes to raising awareness.

"One in eight women have breast cancer in their lifetimes," said Leanne Keen with the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation. "You might not be impacted, but it'll be a family member, it'll be a close friend."
