Nearly a century after its founding, the City of North Miami Beach marked a historic milestone on Saturday with a Centennial Commencement Reception celebrating its 99th anniversary and the start of a year-long journey toward its 100th.

Hosted at the Julius Littman Performing Arts Theater, the evening brought together city officials, residents, and community leaders to reflect on a shared legacy of progress, resilience, and unity.

“This is a city on the rise,” said Mayor Michael Joseph during his address. “And because of you, our residents, our business owners, our community leaders, our educators, our first responders —everyone who calls North Miami Beach home — is part of that story. Tonight, let us celebrate the past, be proud of the present, and look boldly toward a brighter future.”
