DEWITT, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- Tuesday, October 7, marked two years since the 2023 attacks in Israel.

Members of the Jewish community say the pain, grief and fear from that day have never gone away.

"It's a tough day for all of us. Obviously there's still hostages taken from that day that are still in Gaza, supposedly some are still alive and really the community has been a focus on bringing all of those hostages home. Every day is October 7 for us until all of them are home," said Brian Raphael, president of End Antisemitism Now.

The Hamas attack left more than 1,200 people dead, some were killed at music festivals and even in their own homes.
