SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The Scottsdale Unified School District is planning to collect feedback from the community on the prospect of potentially closing two schools.
During the school board meeting on Oct. 7, the board will review a request to schedule a public hearing regarding the possible closure or repurposing of Pima Elementary School and Echo Canyon K-8 School.
The proposed closures is tied to declining and low enrollment at both campuses, public records show.
After holding a public hearing, the board may vote on the potential closures during a meeting on Nov. 18 or Dec. 9.
