BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Tuesday marks two years since Hamas launched a deadly attack on Israel, and Jewish leaders in Vermont say the impacts have been profound.

An estimated 1,200 were killed at the Nova Music Festival and in their neighborhoods. Over 250 were taken hostage. The attack triggered escalating attacks between Israel and Hamas. Today, over 68,000 people have been killed in the conflict, over 97% of them Palestinian.

Local Jewish leaders say the war has escalated antisemitism, forcing them to ramp up security at houses of worship.
