NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Nashville International Airport will have reduced arriving and departing flights Tuesday due to a shortage of air traffic controllers.

According to a statement shared on social media by the airport, “The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority was notified at 1:25 p.m. by the Federal Aviation Administration” of this development.

The reduction will remain in effect until further notice, according to the statement. All airlines have been informed, the airport says.

CNN reported Tuesday that BNA is not the only airport impacted.

Additional airports impacted by this shortage, according to the FAA, include Chicago O’Hare International Airport until midnight local time, along with approach and departure facilities in Houston, Texas, Newark, New Jersey, Las Vegas, Neva
