STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — It’s time to submit an application to New York City public high schools.

Students apply to high school during their eighth-grade year — and current ninth-grade students (who aren’t repeating the grade) can also apply to programs with 10th-grade seats, according to the city Department of Education’s website.

The applications for public high schools are now open through Dec. 3. Offers to high schools will be released on Thursday, March 5.
