Residents of Millcreek Township will decide in the upcoming general election whether to change their government system from a three-supervisor model to one where a township manager is appointed by a council.

The ballot question follows a study by a commission of seven members who unanimously recommended the new form of government, citing potential improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.

RJ Zonna, a commissioner involved in the study, stated that the current supervisor system does not meet the needs of Millcreek's growing population, which is now one of the largest second-class townships in the commonwealth.
