The Pearl Police Department says Greenfield Road from Patrick Farms west to Highway 468 is closed after a sinkhole made the roadway impassable.

Drivers should avoid the area and use alternate routes. Police said the closure is expected to remain in place until an unknown time tomorrow while crews assess and address the damage.
