WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - The Wichita Police Department identified a man suspected in the death of a Wichita woman who’d been reported missing. Police said 39-year-old Brentton Walker was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in the basement of a home after finding 43-year-old Rachel Johnson dead inside a vehicle.

Police reported that “preliminary findings indicate” that Walker and Johnson “had a prior domestic relationship.”

On Sept. 27, WPD officers received a report of a missing person under suspicious circumstances. Police said that on the morning of Sept. 26, Johnson had last been seen by family members, driving a black 2014 Ford Fusion.
