WASHINGTON (WNDU) - Tonight marks Day 7 of the government shutdown, and the effects are being felt coast to coast.

Meanwhile, the White House suggesting furloughed federal workers are not entitled to back pay, according to reports .

This is part of the ongoing effort by the Trump administration to shrink the size of the federal government.

The memo comes despite the Office of Personnel Management’s own guidance last month, which said federal workers will get retroactive pay after the shutdown lifts.
