LUBBOCK, Texas — There's a new look coming for the Red Raiders.
Texas Tech's athletic department unveiled a new logo on Tuesday, featuring a new spin on the university's Double T logo. Alas, the bevel has been leveled. The new logo is a white and red Double T, utilizing elements from Tech's most recent and throwback branding.
One of the biggest changes is the colorway variations. With the beveled logo, the scarlet and black were the most visible colors. Now, red and white have taken center stage, but the simple design allows for all three of Tech's brand colors to be utilized.
The modernized logo can already be seen on campus, too. According to the university, it's featured on the outdoor turf practice field in the newly-opened Dustin R. Womble Football Center and on the court at United
