AUGUSTA - A program that provides comprehensive services for people living with HIV or AIDS is expanding to more Maine counties

MaineGeneral Health is adding its Horizon Program to Aroostook, Hancock , Piscataquis, and Washington counties.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services awarded the funding.

A statement says the funding means services can continue seamlessly after The Regional Medical Center in Lubec stopped providing them.

It also says the Horizon Program, The Regional Medical Center at Lubec , and other regional organizations have worked closely to support a smooth transition.
