Hastings County council is expected to vote Oct. 30 on its local allocations of provincial homelessness-prevention funds, and county staff have put a proposed new transitional home at the top of their list.

Most of the county’s support of area homelessness-related programs comes from Ontario’s Homelessness Prevention Program. There are two streams: capital funding and community funding.
