HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - The Bottle, a well-known fine-dining restaurant in downtown Huntsville, has closed its doors.

An official announcement has not been issued, but Google lists The Bottle as Permanently Closed, and passersby note that the corner location at Washington Street and Clinton Avenue shows no signs of life.

The Bottle opened in 2013, and it is said to be "a sophisticated bar & eatery serving seasonal New American cuisine, craft cocktails & wine."

The restaurant was envisioned as a French-influenced, upscale Southern cuisine destination, co-founded by chefs Andy Howery and Chris McDonald.
