WASHINGTON — Daniel Rosen will serve as the next U.S. Attorney for the District of Minnesota.
Rosen was among several of President Donald Trump’s nominees for various posts who were confirmed Tuesday, Oct. 7, by the U.S. Senate. He was approved by a 50-45 "en bloc" vote, a process put in place by a change in Senate rules by Republican leaders in order to speed up the confirmation process for Trump nominees.
Rosen received bipartisan support when he was nominated by Trump in May, according to previous reporting. He received an official "blue slip," or signal of support, from Minnesota's Democratic Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith.
U.S. Rep. Tom Emmer, R-Minn., applauded the confirmation.
