Starbucks plans to close hundreds of U.S. and Canadian stores.
Some of those stores are in Pennsylvania.
Starbucks recently filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, informing the state it is closing six stores in Philadelphia.
These stores are located at:
1500 Market St.
1900 Market St.
1128 Walnut St.
1801 Spruce St.
490 N. Broad St.
1709 Chestnut St.
The company said that 129 employees will be impacted. Starbucks said that the stores closed near the end of September. However, the company said that the Starbucks employees will remain employed and will receive the equivalent of at least 60 days’ pay and benefits.
