TYLER, Texas — The 2025 East Texas State Fair has officially wrapped up, but is expected to leave a huge local economic impact.
During Tuesday’s meeting, the Smith County Commissioners Court was recognized for its support of the event with a custom rodeo buckle, a symbol of appreciation similar to those awarded to top rodeo competitors.
This year’s fair drew an estimated 104,000 visitors, generating more than $28 million in total economic activity, including nearly $995,000 in sales tax revenue for Smith County.
Fair President John Stoltz said the fair’s long-standing success depends on community support and the effort to keep spending close to home.
