Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders will undergo a medical procedure on Tuesday, days after saying he was “hurting like crazy” due to what he believes is more blood clots in his leg.
“I’m having a procedure today,” Sanders said Tuesday at his weekly news conference. “Prayerfully I’ll be right back tomorrow. ... It is what it is, and we found what we found. We knew what it was. I have a wonderful team of doctors at UC Health and a wonderful team of trainers here to ensure my health.”
Sanders did not offer specifics about his medical procedure. He said he plans to be at Colorado’s team practice on Wednesday and coaching on Saturday when the Buffaloes host No. 22 Iowa State at Folsom Field.
