The AFL trade period is gathering steam with several star players — including multiple captains — hoping to find new clubs.

As expected, Gold Coast bull Sam Flanders is now a Saint.

The paperwork has been lodged and the Suns will receive Pick 7 in return.

Flanders was taken with Pik 11 in the 2019 draft.

He has played 89 games and has a career high 43-disposal game to his name.

The Saints re-signed Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera on a $2 million-per-year contract this year and have already landed free agents Tom De Koning and Jack Silvagni on big-money deals.
