CALERA, Ala. (WIAT) -- The Calera Police Department is not giving up on the search for 73-year-old Reuben Waithaka.

It’s been nearly five months since a witness reported seeing the grandfather from Kenya entering a wooded area on private hunting property off Highway 25. His family is still hoping for answers regarding the whereabouts of the father of four and grandfather of 10. Calera Police Chief David Hyche said this is still very much an active investigation and they have made contact with their federal partners.
