COOS COUNTY, Ore. – A 25-year-old Medford woman died Sunday afternoon following a two-vehicle, head-on crash near Myrtle Point, according to the Oregon State Police.

OSP officials said they responded just before 1 p.m. on Oct. 5 to a two-vehicle fatal crash on Highway 42 near milepost 23. A preliminary investigation determined that a silver Ford Mustang, driven by a 23-year-old Myrtle Point man, was traveling westbound when it crossed the center line and struck head-on an eastbound gray Honda Civic driven by a 26-year-old Medford man, state police said. Authorities said that a passenger in the Honda, identified as Autumn Ruby Bishop, was declared deceased at the scene.
