GERMANY -- A little over a year ago, we first told you about a German novel inspired by and dedicated to late Holden police chief Chris Greely.

We just received word from the writing duo who go by the pseudonym "Claire Larsen" that over the weekend...

Neunzehn Jahre received the first Koblenz book prize.

The pair originally attempted to contact multiple police stations around Maine about their novel, but Chief Greely was the only one to respond, and he made a lasting impression.

After learning of Greely's untimely passing, the authors revised their story to pay tribute to Chris and his 25 Days of Kindness initiative.
